He sits in a chair in the dark for the aesthetics -- and when Rohan returns, he lifts his hand to flick on a light. Was there a lamp always in the room? Maybe, but it might not be where the magician has moved it. ]
[ Oh, you know. Rohan shouldn't actually be that surprised that his apartment has been broken into. It seemed like a natural step from visiting his window. Did he not lock something? He's not sure. Not that he thinks simple things like locks would keep Hisoka out if he really wanted in somewhere.
Something's been moved - he notes when the light turns on. It's easy for him to notice with the way he carefully places things in his room. ]
What are you doing here?
[ The obvious question should probably be 'how did you get in here', but he doesn't really care. ]
[ He doesn't even know why he's doing this, but while wrapping gifts for Reimi he started to think about Rohan by association, and somehow felt ... bad that he had nothing planned to give to the sullen man. Josuke then had a short debate with himself over whether Rohan was even worth the effort, his disdain for Rohan's attitude clashing with his desire to one day mend their relationship, and the latter ... won out. He'll make a marginal effort, but not a very large one. Why should he? What has Rohan ever done for him? It's almost an obligation gift at this point. He ends up sending him something fairly thoughtless, the kind of thing you send someone when you don't really know much about their interests. Yes, he's sending him some chocolate, because who hates those? Surely, even a spider-licking cryptid like Rohan Kishibe must enjoy sweets.
The note reads: ] I don't actually know what you like to eat, but even a weird guy like you must like chocolate. Have a good Christmas.
[ She's reclining in her luxurious tub full up in that good bubbly with a drink in one hand and her device in the other tracking the progress of one (1) little brother in his research quest to understand love and make a decision concerning his feelings about a certain someone. It's not a guess; she knows. As though he could slip something like this by her.
Well, it's fine. Almost. A certain condition needs to be set, a message conveyed to him. ]
If Reimi replies to that, it doesn't count as properly talking with her about the matter we've discussed.

[ Rohan's heart stops for half a second when he gets a text message, before even checking who it is because of the recent post. The first thought is that it is Reimi and he is busted forever. That's it. It's over. He's dead. Done for. Before he's ready to even talk about the matter with her, she's figured it out because of something he said on the network.
Or, almost as bad, it's someone who knows them both and has figured it out from something he's said. But -- it's Setsura. Who already knows what's going on, and it's like a slight wave of relief. ]
I know. I know it doesn't. It won't count unless it's me and her talking.
Hello, Jotaro-san. That's a pretty generic question. What type of art in question are you talking about? Paint, charcoal, ink? I'm going to assume since you're asking me, that it's something like that.
[ Hey, Rohan. It is a fine pre-Cordis day this February and you've yet to send your big sister figure a message along the lines of, "I confessed my feelings to Reimi," so you've got a helpful text message from Setsura coming in sometime today. There's no text, but it isn't a blank message.
Download ambiguously named ATTACHMENT? It might just autoplay... ]
[Hey, fool, guess what? Remember all those chocolates you saw Reimi making? WELL IT TURNS OUT SHE MADE SOME AT HER FRIEND HARU'S HOUSE TOO THAT YOU DIDN'T SEE.
Come the morning of February 14th, there they sit, arranged neatly on a little plate and left on Rohan's drawing table, carefully out of reach of Arnold or the cat.]
[ it's up to rohan if he really wants to catch sight of this or not, but jolyne is definitely delivery of both cheesy valentine as well as lollipop not only for himself but reimi as well. considerate, right? it helps they both live in the same place.
on the back of the card it'll read as:
To: Rohan From: Jolyne
Hope you enjoy puns, probably at least the sugar boost. Good luck today! ]
[ Guess who is swinging into the window at ass-o-clock! A small gremlin child! Unfortunately, he doesn't put enough force to actually break the window so he has to keep swinging himself into the glass.
So it's like someone beating really hard on the window to be let in.
[ Yeah, he was half asleep with a cat curled up on him on the couch when this starts. If anything, the cat jumps first, and scatters hearing the noises at the window. He ignores it for a moment, but realizes that he doesn't want anyone else to be woken up by this (particularly Reimi or Arnold), so he gets up, grumbling in his pajamas as he makes his way to the window. Hair a mess, he's all around a little grumpy when he sees the offender --
[It's early morning, mid-Sanguis, when an unmistakable noise rocks through the kitchen of Rohan's apartment — glass shattering, liquid splashing, and shortly thereafter, the frightened wail of a young girl crying audibly.
And isn't that strange, because this apartment houses a twentysomething guy and a girl in her late teens, and a dog, and none of them are supposed to make sounds quite like that.
from the kitchen. Glass shattering, and he knows it is going to be a mess. He climbs out of bed, looking around and thinking that somehow Stinky, name to be determined, had gotten out of his room and was the culprit.
But when he started moving about getting ready in his room, the cat reappeared from a hiding spot where he had been sleeping, his favorite person now awake.
Then - then that wail starts and Rohan is tugging on his shirt as he splits from the bedroom and slides a little on the wood floor of his apartment before he is greeted with something he hadn't been expecting.
He stops himself mid-step, fumbling at the sight. ]
Uh --
[ He looks over the smaller... girl before him.
She's familiar. Very familiar. Of course -- But, his voice has a hint of question. ]
Reimi-chan?
[ First, make sure it's her. Really. Then...find out how. ]
[ It's after she's replied to a certain post, tugged the business section of the newspaper in front of her, drawn a list of names and notes she's been putting together for some time now, and poured herself a second cup of tea that she glances at her device, fingers drumming idly over the tabletop.
Setsura is coming up on her eighth month in this realm with no foreseeable end to her forced residency in sight. It's eight months longer than she intended, eight months filled with developments. She won't scold herself for being slow on the uptake given the circumstances, but enough is enough. If she's going to be here for any additionally lengthy sort of time with the possibility of returning after her departure to -- frankly, who knows where from her understanding of it, there are things to be done. With regards to one particular item -- ]
Rohan-kun, are you awake?
[ Are you awake because theirs isn't a professional relationship, but a personal one. It's another reason she's held her figurative cards so to speak, considered her pending moves carefully. At the end of the day, she is a singular presence in this realm with no organization at her back and she must move with the appropriate thought and care with regards to not only her safety, but that of the people she cares for when and where she involves them in things. ]
[ A better question would be... when is he not awake? Rohan sleeps short hours, and it's hard to find a time where he's not bustling through something or keeping himself busy. So, he's sitting in his living room on the couch when she texts him. He's petting Stinky (who still hasn't gotten a better name, sorry Reimi).
