[ The magician is pouting about how the lamp is being moved back to where it once was. ]
A magician never reveals his secrets, but for a friend, I will.
[ With a great amount of cheer, he points to the door that Rohan entered from. ] Yes, the front door. [ Clapping his hands together, he pulls it apart to show a line of his aura. ] Bungee Gum has the properties of both rubber and gum. I affixed it inside the lock and jimmied it open.
[ Hisoka openly laments about being unable to keep his set-up the same even though it only took him a short amount of time to actually rearrange the living room. It's the principle of the thing, right? Right. ]
I'm very sweet. [ He cocks his head to the side as the line of Bungee Gum between his hands expands and pops. The magician smiles all the more when Rohan gets closer to him. That is what he likes so much about the manga artist. ]
Hm? Creepy doll and puppet trouble? [ His smile fades as he looks honestly befuddled as to what Rohan is talking about. This isn't the first time that he's missed some large event. He missed when the world was panicking over Chimera Ants, after all. And the reason why he missed what happened with creepy dolls and puppets ... it is because he went hunting down a certain thirteen-year-old Teleporter so that he could finally kill him with his bare hands. For funsies!!
Sadly, sad not-pre-teen was nowhere to be found in the city and he wasted weeks trying to hunt him down. Lament for him, Rohan! Lament!! ]
Seems like I missed some things while I was busy. [ Again. ]
[ He couldn't possibly eyeroll any harder at Hisoka lamenting over the furniture being fixed. Rohan already feels better that everything is returned to the set-up he prefers to work with. Hisoka could be such a nuiance, but Rohan likes his company from time to time. He's entertaining enough, at least.
He maintains a neutral expression, and when Hisoka says he missed it, he leans away just a little. ]
Would you have thought it to be fun to have control over someone? [ It wasn't fun for him, himself. ]
[ Rarely, if ever, does Hisoka waste his time on anything that he doesn't want to be doing. So, in a way, he isn't being dishonest in saying that messing up Rohan's room has been a valuable use of the magician's time. ]
Mmm. [ He honestly thinks over the question. Certainly, he could get people to fight him, but that's no fun. When he's more or less controlling them to do so, what's the point? But he might be able to raise the amount of hate that they have for him, and then they would come seeking him out themselves. ]
Probably. [ And on that note, he is going to stick a line of Bungee Gum onto Rohan to pull him forward so that the manga artist could come into his arms -- yes, while he's sitting on the chair, won't they be cozy? ]
Is that so? How much was that ten minutes worth, then?
[ Yeah. He's absolutely, really asking Hisoka: How much? Because, well, if his time is valuable, Rohan wants to know what it's worth. How much is Hisoka wasting here bothering him? He wants to know, because he just is like that. He raises a single brow when he's pulled towards the other.
There's a flinch when it happens, but that's it for the moment that he'll give Hisoka. There's an annoyed huff, and he moves one hand up to grip the other's chin. He's going to make Hisoka pay attention when he speaks. ]
It's only fun for the one who does the controlling. It's not fun being controlled.
[ It must be cozy, because he makes no attempts to escape right now, otherwise. ]
He is in such a good mood that he doesn't mind his chin being grabbed so that he would look up at Rohan. No, he doesn't mind because he keeps his arms loosely wrapped around the manga artist. His shoulders shake a little as he quickly chuckles. ]
Is that so? Does that mean that Rohan-sensei wants to control someone?
[ Well, that makes sense due to Heaven's Door, huh? His gaze darkens a little before he asks: ]
Heeeey. Want to tell me what to do for a bit? [ Seems like fun. ]
[ There's a hint of amusement at the suggestion. Alright, noted, then. Fancy dinners could be costly, so Hisoka's time was valuable enough, Rohan supposed. If his time was valuable, then he was wasting a lot of valuable time bothering Rohan. At least that was his own deduction.
Hm. He's smirking a little. ]
So you're saying you want me to take you to fancy dinner, then? Do you think I'm made of Chroma?
[ And, given that he has plans for that saved Chroma, which didn't include taking Hisoka out to dinner. ]
I can control anyone I want if I'm faster than them. [ Believe it or not, he's not much really thought about this fact. He releases Hisoka's chin, and considers him. ]
I don't believe for a second that you'd listen to a thing I'd say if I don't use Heaven's Door on you.
[ He considers, and adds: ]
I don't know if I can believe your answer when I ask 'Will you actually do what I say?', but I still want you to answer.
[ He replies in a cheeky yet pleasantly teasing tone. ]
Of course, of course. [ His tone turns dismissive about how Heaven's Door works. But no, it's nice to get more and more information about that ability. Honestly, he would like to experience it without knowing anything. His tongue slips out, running quickly along his top lip.
Hisoka laughs. ]
I'll actually do what you say. [ Because it's fun and because he hadn't seen Rohan in awhile. It's a bargain, isn't it? ] Hey, hey, Rohan-sensei. Have you actually had someone do everything you want without using Heaven's Door? Have you had the enjoyment of controlling others just because they want to listen to you?
[ There's an annoyed swish of his tail when Hisoka answers him. Jeez, how much did this guy think he Moonlaced? It was better from when he had first met the other, sure, but it wasn't like it was great. There's an amused noise that escapes. Of course, some of how he feels like behaving can be attributed to Cordis, of course. And he well knows it.
He places a hand on Hisoka's cheek, patting it - almost playful in what he's doing.
Pat. Pat. ]
People do what I say without Heaven's Door. [ Okay, so his requests are usually to be left alone. Or related to work. And he just as often signs things for fans. ] Because I'm a famous manga-ka. I have some crazy fans - a woman once asked me to marry her.
[ It's not like he's making it sound any better than simply using his stand. In some way or another, he's exerting a power over someone that he has because of his gift. ]
Alright, move then. This chair is uncomfortable like this. [ It's. Too cozy, he feels like. If he's going to share space with Hisoka, he's going to be comfortable. ]
[ Hisoka drawls out his words as he smiles warmly at him. His own fox ears wiggle a little in turn. It may very well be the Cordis moon that has him a little more playful than usual. Ah, I'd like to kill this person. He thinks that, too, but the tone of it is filled with bright, bright cheer. ]
If you married her, though, you'd have to take time off writing and drawing... I'm sure that you turned her down, right?
[ And up he stands. He slides his arms around Rohan so that he picks up the manga-ka as he gets up out of the chair. His smile remains quite cheerful. ]
He can't even attempt to hide the way his expression shifts through about ten different emotions when Hisoka lifts him. Annoyance, frustration, confusion, and there's even a moment of total acceptance before he settles on disgruntled. He doesn't try to push away, even, after a moment. His answer comes easily, he had a plan - sort of - before making the suggestion. ]
Couch.
[ Totally better. At least it's comfortable and if he wants his own space, he can have it. ]
And of course I didn't get married. Why would I do that?
[ Hisoka laughs a little before he heads to the couch. His head tilts as he gives Rohan a look that says he's thinking of just dropping him unceremoniously onto the furniture. The thought comes and goes and he decides that it's nicer to someone whose house he broke into to carefully set him down -- and then, take his on seat. ]
Let's see... to have someone always around to worry about you? Love? Those sort of things, I suppose.
[ Rohan, for what it's worth, seems annoyed regardless as to how Hisoka set him down because he was being set down to begin with. He considers the other's answer and shifts just a little into Hisoka's bubble again. He reaches up, grabbing the other's chin and raises a brow. Yes, he is being particularly grabby. Sorry, Hisoka. ]
The only thing I care that people love is my art.
[ As it is, it's mostly true when he says it. Sure, he loves attention. Sure, he wants eyes on him. And sure, he doesn't mind having fans. But love in the way Hisoka means? It's not at the front of his mind.]
Did you have a goal when you came here or is this just for fun?
That's no good, Rohan-sensei. Loving your art is nice, but don't you want someone to love you? The good and bad parts of yourself?
[ Hisoka crosses his legs as he decides to ask these sort of questions. Because they're fun questions to ask. Because he doesn't want anyone to love every part of himself. The person that he is twisted and rotten and he loves that about himself. He's pleased with who he is and filled up with all of his selfish wants and needs. There isn't anyone that could fill him up anymore than those that he wants to kill for pleasure.
But! Rohan-sensei is different, isn't he? ]
I suppose my goal is to make sure that you're all right. Since I like you so much.
[ It's an interesting question. There's a shift in his weight and he stands, moving to face Hisoka there, regaining what he perceived as some sort of position of power. He puts one hand on his hip and looks down, very intentionally, at the other. He shakes his head. He takes a couple of steps, seeming to almost pace, though he's not going further than a couple of steps. ]
I'm not interested in investing myself in another person like that.
[ While it's a straightforward denial of a desire to care for someone that deeply, it's not fully true. But, it's easier, he knows - to let Hisoka believe that. It makes him feel harder to get to. Rohan did lack a lot of connections, living a life fully committed to his art and curiosity. He's been asked if it was lonely. But... Rohan wasn't lonely.
He didn't feel that. And there were people he cared about enough that he didn't want to let others know. He stops moving, and turns to face the other. ]
Well, I've been better than usual, I guess. No strange things since the puppet incident. Your concern is sweet, Hisoka. [ Not really. ]
[ Well, not like he did it to any great or real degree. But he had fun killing time in the City of Aiai. It was fun being loved by NPCS and finding out about who they were and carrying on with those storylines for fun. Some of them had interesting and surprising plots. Isn't that enough of a reason to invest in a person? Yes, that's about why he invests in anyone, because it'll kill his boredom for a little bit.
Because he cannot find one person that he can anger enough to want to kill him. Because he cannot find one person that will desire to kill him with everything that they have. It's a little frustrating. It feels a little like that Greed Island game. So, he considers all of these things just distractions until he can go back and kill Chrollo.
He watches Rohan move around and smiles fondly at him. This manga-ka is fun. He is funny. That's more than enough to see where his storyline goes in this world, before it eventually breaks. His lips curl a little more -- a little maliciousness slips into his grin. It lasts for a second and is gone. ]
Really? I'm relieved to know that you've been better than usual. Sometimes when I come to see you... you feel like you have a lot of weight on your shoulders. It makes you much stiffer and dull in color. [ He snickers. ] I like the Rohan-sensei that is colorful. That's the most fun for me to see.
[ Yes, what's interesting to Hisoka, what's fun for Hisoka, that's the only reason he involves himself. He wonders ... isn't Rohan-sensei kind of the same? Well, not to the degree that the magician is. Not as twisted as he is, but the two of them live in a selfish kind of way. And maybe, that's why he likes Rohan so much. A man that doesn't necessarily view things as good or evil, but what's interesting.
If his combat ability were a little higher ... ah... if it were just a little higher... how fun that would be. ]
Fun? Why is committing yourself to someone fun to you?
[ No. No it isn't fun. It's tiring and frustrating and sad when things don't go well or right. What if something happened to someone you've devoted yourself to? Rohan tends to get passionate about the things he likes. About learning, about art, and - well, he's not sure that he wouldn't end up just like that about someone he cared about. It just too much in his mind - too much work. Too much everything.
He raises a brow and shifts, moving right there to straddle Hisoka's lap, he leans into the clown magician. Relieved? Really.
Rohan's doing his best with what he has, but he's felt much lighter the past couple of months. Like - it's almost easier to move forward. Rohan can safely say, though, that even with some of the conversations he would have rather not had - he feels better. ]
Again, your concern for my well-being is so very sweet. [ No. ] But I'm pretty hard to hurt and kill. You don't have to worry about me, though. Worry about finding yourself that one true love who will murder you or whatever.
[ Like when he threw himself wholeheartedly into Aiai. It was fun to commit himself to the routes and relationships of those NPCs. He can see the appeal of it, and thinks that Rohan would enjoy it, too. There's fun in getting to know people -- and even more fun in getting to see what secrets they slowly show a person as they feel "close" to them. It's time-consuming, but what else is there to do?
He smiles up at the manga-ka when he straddles his lap. His smile is more like a smirk, though. ]
I'm very sweet. [ No. ] I'm always worried about that, Rohan-sensei. [ His hands rest lightly on the other's waist. ] But I can worry about you, too. It's called multi-tasking. [ Says the person that got so hyperfixated on hunting down a thirteen-year-old teleporter to kill that he lost more than two months of time. Who can multi-task? Probably not Hisoka when he gets really focused. ]
[ He's teasing, just a little. It's easy, and it's not that he understands the desire to be that close to anyone. He normally doesn't even much like people in his bubble. Cordis is the time he makes exceptions, and sometimes only for the sake of his continued survival. And his ability to use Heaven's Door. So, he doesn't flinch or react to Hisoka's hands.
There's a small, insincere laugh. ]
Your concern is appreciated.
[ Not really. Not much. And if only because he knows the worry that Hisoka mentions is just words. Rohan doesn't actually need anyone to worry. His stand is fully capable of keeping people he cares about - including himself - safe. There's no gentleness in his next action. One hand shifts, his grip is firm on Hisoka's chin. He's keeping the man's attention on him and his head still as he leans in and presses his lips to the other's. ]
[ Hisoka only smiles at both of Rohan's answers. He thinks that a fickle love is just fine, and conveys it in the wide smile that he gives his dear, dear friend. Of course, he could have said something with words, but why do that? The two of them are mostly teasing one another, after all.
His smile only falters a little when the manga-ka grabs his chin. It doesn't dip down into a frown but a somewhat more serious expression briefly crosses over Hisoka's face. He lifts his eyebrows a little when Rohan leans in. Cute.
He really can't help but start smiling again when he's kissed. Hisoka even opens his mouth so that they could deepen the kiss -- isn't he nice? His eyes turn into little half-moons filled with amusement, and he slides his hand up to properly cradle the back of Rohan's head. ]
[ Rohan - he doesn't really do this often (at all), and his inexperience is slipping through just a little. He can't help but overthink some things: where should he put his hands, he can't just hold onto Hisoka's chin like this forever. Should he shift in closer? He runs through five hundred questions, and in part it is because his brain is trying to piece together how he'd write this while he's participating. He almost can't stop himself.
Still, it doesn't deter his enjoyment of it - the way that he analyzes every movement. His eyes fall shut, his grip loosens, and his hand falls. Well, now that he has Hisoka's attention, he doesn't need to demand it like that anymore. He moves it, placing it on Hisoka's neck, tugging himself in forward, deepening that kiss - though this isn't without the use of his nails, pressing there into Hisoka.
The Chroma doesn't hurt, either. He always needs so much more during Cordis, and this is so much more than what he typically allows that it's helping more than he anticipates. He hates that he's taking note to consider doing this more often. He shouldn't want this to happen again. He's almost annoyed at himself for having the thought, however brief.
It's almost as though it's instinct when his lips part. Easily following Hisoka's lead (Rohan Kishibe does what he wants to do - he would never admit that he was letting himself be led in any way). There's an almost amused noise (just a slight, small laugh) - and, because he thinks it will be funny, he pulls away just a little, just enough to bite - just hard enough to bother the average person. He wonders if Hisoka will respond to it. That's a reasonable reason to bite someone, right?
He pulls his head back fully, shifting his body to drape his arms over Hisoka's shoulders. ]
Next time [ what ] no lipstick. Your face is -- [ heh. ]
[ The little bit of hesitation in Rohan's actions is enough to whet his appetite. Should he blame it on the Cordis moon? Maybe. He certainly gets the feeling that devouring his dear, dear friend would be really enjoyable.
Yet it is the bite that fills him with a little rush of excitement. It's just a shame that it isn't enough to break the skin. Though, he isn't quite sure what would happen if he tasted blood. Mmm. It probably wouldn't be good.
He smiles at Rohan as the man gets more comfortable -- or seems to get more comfortable. The corners of his mouth curl more than should be possible, but it's only because of his enjoyment. Hmm? His chin lifts as Rohan starts his saying with "next time." But his smile fades in mild confusion before noticing that the other's lipstick is smudged.
Ah. ]
Hmmm? My face, huh? You marked me quite well. Should I do the same? [ He leans in before breathing in sharp. Actually... ] Hey, hey, Rohan-sensei. Shouldn't I keep listening to what you want? So, what is it that you'd like? [ His tongue slips out to slide along his own lips, feeling his hunger spike. ]
[ Rohan leans a little away from Hisoka, considering his question. He's not sure why, but he hadn't really expected to return to the game that had been mentioned earlier. If only because he had felt that Hisoka had been playing along with him to begin with. Rohan had easily caved to his Cordis impulses, but he wasn't upset about it. Would he think they were bad choices later? Probably not. He didn't make mistakes. Next time, though? Maybe he shouldn't have said that - even though he knew there would definitely be a next time.
He's never really considered that he'd like the look of marking someone like that. Easily washed away, but still there now. He considers that he'd perhaps like to leave something more lasting. And there that thought sits. He doesn't say it, not yet, at least. ]
What would I like? [ He breathes the words out and there's that ever present combination of annoyance and amusement that he has when he's around the other. He spends a few moments looking like he's considering it. ] I did like that.
[ Duh. ]
No, no. You were right. Mark me. [ Though -- ] I have a rule, though. You can't do it where others can see it. [ That's the rules. ] I don't even care if you use your teeth. [ Now that he's said it, he won't take it back, either. After all, he doesn't make mistakes. ]
[ Hisoka wants to make a joke like Rohan shows so much skin that anyone could see where he marks him. His shoulders tremble a little as he keeps his awful jabs to himself. After all, he hasn't seen the manga-ka look so cute. ]
Yes, yes.
[ His tone is still with a little lilt, and his tongue slips out to slide along his lips as he thinks of where to mark Rohan. Ah, isn't that romantic? Even as he tries to look thoughtful, his fox ears give him away with having them perk up in excitement and amusement. ]
Though, I wonder, have you let others mark you? [ The answer is probably "yes?" Hisoka smiles as he starts to take the other's shirt off. As soon as he sees skin, he thinks briefly how pretty it would look stained red. Ah, but it will be stained red soon, right? On the inside, his smile twists as he leans forward.
He opens his mouth to put little love-bites about where Rohan's heart would be. A place no one could see, huh? The magician thinks he's funny as he nips at him. ]

A magician never reveals his secrets, but for a friend, I will.

He raises a brow and shifts, moving right there to straddle Hisoka's lap, he leans into the
clownmagician. Relieved? Really.Rohan's doing his best with what he has, but he's felt much lighter the past couple of months.
[ Why. Rohan's playing a little. ]

no subject
no subject
